Mission at start of talk

To begin growing a diverse, well-connected network at the intersection of journalism and technology focused on revitalizing participatory democracy ... through seeding innovative ideas ... deepening relationships . . . and inspiring action.

Mission idea near end of talk

"The convergence of journalism and technology to invent the next generation news ecology."

AGENDA

  • Affirm the purpose: To begin growing a diverse, well connected network at the intersection of journalism and technology focused on revitalizing participatory democracy . . . through seeding innovative ideas . . . deepening relationships . . . and inspiring action.
  • Discuss how we ensure diversity in participation, perspective and expertise
  • Consider budget; balance between registration fees and sponsorships
