My background is in radio & TV production, political organizing & campaign management as well as having run my own business. Moran Brian I have spent the last year working with an independent, non-profit media organization. I would like to further explore the viability of a professional and credible independent, non-profit news source for the web. There are many considerations such as strategic partnerships, such as partnering with other for profit media companies. There is also the question of what is the right source of funding, such that it removes any uncertainty about financial interests influencing the editorial process.

I hope to engage other talented and motivated people on the future of quality journalism. The dynamics in media in general as well as the changes in the methods used to reach the consumer are changing so fast, that the public is accepting what exists to be an acceptable norm. I am interested to hear pioneers brainstorm ideas to challenge the status quo of the current media system. Ultimately, my interests are to play a role in such a shift.
