My work for the last 20 years has been at the nexus point of media, technology, social networks and conscious evolution. I believe that it is at the convergence of these powerful vectors where new social systems and social synergies are born.  I am committed to catalyzing and nurturing a Renaissance 2.0.  This new culture is one that will learn faster and faster the implications of our choices and will then start making radically different choices.  So we begin to understand not only ^\where are we^] (state of the world information), but also, ^\how did we get here^] (full ramifications of our choices and our collective responsibility) and ^\where do we want to go^]?   This is all about media and communication, technology tools, social and digital, clarity of communication (intention and outcomes). My background is diverse ranging from teaching cinema studies at the UW, adventuring into corporate legal cultures, ongoing social entrepreneurial projects, over 15 years of media/communications working in a wide variety of positions (including but not limited to: news director at a public radio station, founder of a nonprofit around environmental issues and media, catalyst for several local coalitions (Seattle Progressive Coalition, Seattle Independent Media Coalition, and Community Powered Radio), co-founder of Indymedia.org, a global grassroots media network with over 250 media centers worldwide, and organizer of several bioregional stakeholder gatherings ^S Sustainable Cascadia and Imagine Cascadia.
