Baristanet.com's founder Debra Galant and Liz George

In late 2004, a former New York Times free-lance columnist, Debra Galant, started "Baristanet.com" (MGP PROFILE), a local news website for three contiguous northern New Jersey suburbs -- Montclair, Glen Ridge and Bloomfield. Within a few months she was joined by journalism-trained Liz George. On Jan. 11, 2008, Media Giraffe project Editor Bill Densmore interviewed the web partners as they held court at Cafe Eclectic on Bloomfield Avenue.
