Free Press, the media-reform lobby group, orchestrated another of a series of hearings on Sept. 7, 2006, in collaboration with two Democrats on the Federal Communications Commission, Michael Copps and Jonathan Adelstein. A report at the website BizTimes said over 300 people attended at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, mostly of them speaking out against media consolidation.
